The Israeli army announced on Sunday that a soldier was seriously injured and an officer was moderately injured following an “operational accident” that occurred in southern Lebanon last Friday, and they were transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment.
This official announcement comes a day after reports published by Israeli media, most notably the Ynet website, stating that eight other soldiers were slightly injured, also on Friday, as a result of an operational traffic accident that occurred between two military vehicles in the same area.
The Israeli army spokesman explained that six of the soldiers with minor injuries were taken to the hospital to receive treatment before they all left for their homes, stressing at the same time that the military institution had opened a comprehensive investigation to determine the circumstances of the operational incidents that occurred in southern Lebanon.
