The European Football Association (UEFA) announced the allocation of a huge budget amounting to about 2.4 billion euros to be distributed to the clubs participating in the Champions League for the 2026-2027 season, amid a record rise in the value of financial rewards granted to teams competing in the group stage and the knockout rounds.

The rewards are distributed according to a system that includes granting each club participating in the unified group an initial reward exceeding 18 million euros, in addition to performance rewards amounting to 2.1 million euros for each victory and 700 thousand euros in the event of a tie, leading to cumulative rewards for qualifying through the various rounds, which gives the champion of the competition the opportunity to collect total profits approaching 110 million euros.

These huge returns include the distribution of special shares in the value pillar based on television broadcasting rights and the historical classification of clubs over the past ten years, which entrenches the wide financial gap between the Champions League and other continental competitions such as the European League, whose total allocations did not exceed 565 million euros.d
