Google has introduced new improvements to the facial recognition feature in the latest models of its Pixel 11 series smartphones, with the aim of overcoming the most prominent defects that affected previous generations when using the feature in poor lighting conditions.
The updates contained on the official pages of the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold phones explained that the technology has become faster, more accurate, and safer while identifying the user in dark places, by relying on processing advanced algorithms to reduce total dependence on external light.
This software step comes to upgrade the user experience and raise levels of biometric security, after reports indicated that the company postponed the integration of infrared sensors into hardware to future versions.
