A campaign against illegal generators in Tripoli and Al-Mina

The Economic Department in the North continued its oversight tours of private generators in Tripoli and the port, with the support of state and municipal security, and at the signal of the Public Prosecutor of Appeal.

The campaign resulted in the issuance of 5 seizure reports and the confiscation of 6 generators due to violation of the official pricing and non-compliance with the installation of meters, 4 of which were handed over to the Municipality of Tripoli and 2 to the Municipality of Al-Mina.

The documented violations were as follows:

– Al Noor Square: Generator (.E) was confiscated for charging 77 cents per kilowatt.
– Dam and Farz, Muharram, and Bab al-Raml: Report and confiscation of generators (.M), (.A), and (.M) for charging them 70 cents.
– Port (Residences): Report and confiscation of generator (A) for not installing meters.
– Al-Mina (Residences): An arrest report for Generator (N) for charging 80 cents and the presence of only 12 meters out of 500 subscribers.
