Trump and White meet Monday.. Will a president move? "ufc" To the white house?

The president of the mixed martial arts organization (UFC), Dana White, intends to hold an upcoming meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House, on Monday, to discuss an official offer he received to assume the position of official presidential spokesman, in an unusual move that raises speculation about the transfer of one of the most prominent faces of the world of sports to the political arena.

This meeting comes after Trump announced, on Saturday, November 7, that he had made the offer to White, describing him as a “fighter and warrior,” and asking him to accept the mission. In a press conference held in the British capital, London, on the sidelines of a boxing event, White confirmed that he was heading to Washington to meet with Trump, and in response to a question about how to reconcile the potential position with his current sporting duties, he simply said: “I already have a lot of jobs.”

White did not decide whether to accept the offer, refusing to go into details of his previous conversations with Trump, saying only: “I’m sure we have more to talk about after that.” Before the press conference, White had posted a picture of himself on his account in front of the White House spokesman’s podium, captioned with the phrase “On to the next chapter.”

In a related context, Trump asked White to bring an elite group of martial arts stars to work with him as assistants in the White House, and the list included prominent names such as: Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, in addition to Kayla Harrison.

The position of White House Press Secretary is receiving widespread attention in light of the current vacancy, following Carolyn Levitt’s departure from the position in late August, followed by Katie Zakaria, whose term ended only five days after she assumed the duties.

It is noteworthy that Trump and White have a close and developed friendship, as White appeared repeatedly to support Trump in election events, in addition to their recent cooperation in organizing a sports event for the UFC on the South Lawn of the White House last June, as part of the celebrations of the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States.
