The judicial file of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Asir witnessed a new development represented by the joining of lawyer Dr. Peter Germanos to the defense team charged with following up on their client’s cases before the competent judicial authorities.
In this context, the defense team, represented by lawyers Mohamed Sablouh and Abdel Badie Akoum, issued an official statement announcing this step, stressing that it falls within the framework of completing the necessary legal procedures to ensure the full exercise of defense rights, in accordance with the provisions of the law, due process, and fair trial principles.
The defense team renewed its commitment to continue pursuing the case through all available legal and judicial means. Germanos’ joining the Commission comes at a time when the prisoner’s judicial files continue to be pursued before the competent authorities, against the backdrop of his arrest and trial that has been ongoing for years following the Abra events and the subsequent judicial process.
