Urgent financial warning: reductions in fines, provided that the deadline is adhered to

The Ministry of Finance reminded taxpayers registered with the Value Added Tax Directorate of the need to regularize their tax status and benefit from the period for reducing fines, which ends at the end of this month of October, to avoid it being too late.

The Ministry’s media office issued a statement stressing the importance of taxpayers wishing to benefit from the settlement of verification and collection fines resulting from their permits adhering to the specified legal deadline.

The Ministry stated that the maximum deadline for submitting late permits and paying tax arrears with reduced fines continues until October 31, 2026 inclusive.

She pointed out that this step comes in implementation of the provisions of Article 14 of Resolution No. 835/1 issued on September 18, 2026, with the aim of enabling taxpayers to settle their financial obligations and benefit from the prescribed reductions within the legally specified deadlines.
