Hezbollah reveals the circumstances of the raid on Semaan Gallery and clarifies details "Agreed mechanism"

On Friday evening, Hezbollah issued an explanatory statement regarding the incident that took place in the “Semaan Gallery” area, categorically denying any connection to the warehouse that the security forces raided or its contents, “neither from near nor from afar.”

The party’s media relations explained that this clarification comes in response to the circulation of “misleading news and information” in some media outlets, noting that a security patrol carried out the raid in a “security-sensitive” area without adhering to the mechanism previously agreed upon between the party and the security authorities.

According to the statement, this mechanism was established to take into account the nature of the security situation in the southern suburb of Beirut, in light of the continued Israeli threats and dangers and the warnings it imposes, which both parties are aware of and are keen to deal with with full responsibility.

The party added that the necessary contacts were made with the competent authorities and legal authorities to clarify the circumstances, after which the patrol completed its work normally and calmly, with the aim of implementing the mandate issued by the Cassation Public Prosecutor, based on a referral from the Minister of Public Health, Rakan Nasr al-Din. The statement pointed out that things had returned to normal when the Lebanese army arrived at the site.

Hezbollah concluded by stressing its constant concern for the health and safety of citizens, and its full support for the procedures of the Ministry of Health, in addition to its keenness to enable the security forces to carry out their normal tasks and roles.
