A positive development has emerged in the file of teachers contracted at the expense of school funds and those hired by them, after the stumble witnessed by the start of the current academic year, following the announcement by the Public Basic Education Teachers Association of the Minister of Education’s approval of administrative studies related to this file, in preparation for putting them into effect as of next Monday.
The association explained in a statement issued by it that it had conducted a series of follow-ups that included the most prominent challenges facing the public school, most notably the crisis of the start of the school year and the conditions of contractors and their employees, in addition to issues related to the regularity of school work.
The association revealed that it had received official notification of the Minister of Education’s approval of the studies prepared by the administration, noting that the details and implementation mechanisms will be circulated to school principals during the current weekend, and work will begin officially starting next Monday. The association called on school principals to fully adhere to the directives and observations that will be issued by the administration in this regard.
At the administrative level, the Association presented clear demands to maintain basic administrative tasks within schools, including reserve work, coordination, supervision, and health guidance, pointing out that the administration promised to continue following up on these files in a way that ensures continuity and regularity of work in official educational institutions.
