Today, Thursday, Saudi Golf and the Asian Tour announced the postponement of the 2026 Saudi International Golf Championship, which was scheduled to be held on the grounds of the Riyadh Golf Club during the period from 18 to 21 next November, due to organizational and logistical challenges.
According to a joint statement issued by the two sides, this decision came after a comprehensive review of the arrangements for the tournament, in order to ensure that it meets the highest required organizational standards, without a new date for its holding having been announced yet. For its part, the Asian Tour confirmed its commitment to continuous communication with players and members to keep them informed of all developments and next steps.
The tournament, with a total prize money of $5 million, is the final leg of the Asian Golf Tour season.
This decision comes a few days after the announcement of the postponement of the “Six Kings” exhibition tennis tournament in Riyadh, which was scheduled for this October to be held next December, in light of the security developments taking place in the region.
