Intermittent bombing fuels field tension along the southern front

Israeli attacks on villages and towns in southern Lebanon continued, as the region witnessed from dawn on Wednesday until the early hours of the morning a series of attacks distributed between artillery shelling and sweeping operations with machine guns, amid continued field tension along the southern front.

In the field details reported by the correspondent of the “Lebanon Debate” website, the morning artillery shelling focused on the town of Al-Mansouri and the Al-Arayesh neighborhood in the town of Haris, which the occupation again targeted with renewed artillery raids.

The attacks began at dawn with artillery shelling that targeted Wadi Zabqin and the outskirts of the town of Sarbin, in conjunction with sweeping operations with machine guns that targeted the same area. In the same context, artillery shelling targeted the outskirts of the town of Qantara towards Wadi Al-Hujair, while machine gun sweeping operations were recorded towards the eastern town of Zawtar.

Later, Israeli artillery shelling targeted Dabsha Hill, as part of a series of separate attacks that struck several southern regions within a few hours.

These developments come in light of the continuation of repeated Israeli violations of the border areas in southern Lebanon, amid a highly tense field environment and increasing fears of the expansion of military targeting.
