Shelter promises are under implementation and the official mechanism is yet to be announced

The head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, Sheikh Ali Damoush, is preparing to announce, tomorrow, Tuesday, the details of a new shelter project called “Promise and Commitment,” which is dedicated to those affected by the war, especially the people of villages that were completely destroyed.

At the invitation of the party’s media relations, Damoush will hold a press conference at eleven o’clock a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at the cultural center of the Ghobeiry municipality (“Resalat”).

This announcement comes as a continuation of what was stated by the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, on September 27, when he affirmed the party’s commitment to providing shelter, restoration and reconstruction based on available capabilities and donations, while giving priority to completely destroyed villages, and indicating that the details of the new project will soon be revealed.

The press conference is expected to determine the mechanism for implementing the “Promise and Commitment” project, the groups that will benefit from it, in addition to the value and duration of the aid, and whether the program will be limited to providing shelter allowances or will extend to include the stages of restoration and rehabilitation of damaged housing, at a time when thousands of families are still suffering from the loss of their homes, especially in the border villages and areas most affected by the war. It is noteworthy that the party had previously used the same slogan in previous programs aimed at removing the effects of war and helping families whose homes were demolished or partially damaged.
