Representative Jamil Al-Sayyed re-highlighted the seriousness of the phenomenon of throwing rocks at passing cars in the Kula area in Beirut, warning against the recurrence of these incidents in the same location, and directing harsh criticism at the relevant security agencies for their failure to arrest those involved so far.
In a post on his account on the “X” platform this evening, Al-Sayed indicated that the incident was repeated last night at the same point and targeted another car, asking sarcastically: “If a country was unable to identify and arrest a few thugs repeating their crime in the same place, how can it claim to protect a country?!”
This position comes a few days after Al-Sayed raised the incident of the killing of citizen Muhammad Hamza, who died after his car was hit by a rock thrown by unknown persons from the pedestrian bridge near the Cola area, while he was heading in the evening towards the Salim Salam tunnel.
Al-Sayed considered that the renewal of these attacks in the same place raises serious questions about the effectiveness of the security measures taken in the region, and the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such crimes and reveal the identity of those involved in them and arrest them.
