The Southern Council, under the guidance of its Chairman, Engineer Hashim Haider, began delivering the first batch of ready-made homes to the people whose homes were completely destroyed in the western town of Zawtar.
The transportation process took place by huge trucks, under the direct supervision of the head of the Southern Council office in Nabatieh, Youssef Mahdi, and in full coordination with the Western Municipality of Zawtar.
The delivery targeted homeowners who had completed preparing the sites and floors designated for housing installation, following the completion of the work of removing the rubble and preparing it to receive the housing units.
This step falls within the procedural plan aimed at providing temporary shelter for families who lost their homes, pending the completion of the subsequent stages of reconstruction operations.
