The Presidency’s Information Office clarified that what was attributed to the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, regarding the content of his meeting with US President Donald Trump, during his recent visit to Washington, has nothing to do with the truth.
The office said, in a clarification, that the talk circulated by some media outlets about what happened during the meeting between Presidents Aoun and Trump is “incorrect,” thus denying the validity of what was published or attributed to the President of the Republic in this context.
The Presidency’s clarification comes after the circulation of media information that dealt with the content of the meeting between President Aoun and President Trump in Washington, with the Presidency confirming that what was attributed to him does not reflect the truth of what took place during the meeting.
