Under Barcelona’s pressure .. Lamine Jamal decides his final decision on joining Spain
Barcelona continues its attempts to remove his young wing, Lamine Jamal, from the next Spain national team, a desire to give him an additional rest period after his recent return from injury.
Jamal had already participated in Real Sociedad in the Spanish League and Paris Saint -Germain in the Champions League, but the Catalan club management believes that he still needs to rest to avoid exacerbating his injury and his absence for a longer period.
According to the Spanish newspaper “AS”, Barcelona’s sports director Deco made an official request to the Spanish Football Association to exempt the player from joining the national team camp.
However, the last word remains in the hands of Jamal himself, as his insistence on being with “La Roja” may decide the situation in favor of the team.
Spain will meet Georgia on October 11, and then face Bulgaria on the 14th of the same month in the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
The Spaniards lead the Group F ranking with 6 points, ahead of Georgia and Turkey (3 points each).
