Geagea: Do not retreat in our battle for Lebanon

A mass was held in the Mazar of Bishwat, on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrs of the Lebanese Maqqa, entitled “We are witnessing our martyrs”, at the invitation of the northern Bekaa region in the “Lebanese Forces” under the auspices of the sponsor of the diocese of Baalbek and the Maronite Monastery of Al -Ahmar, Bishop Hanna, may God have mercy on him.
The Mass was started with a scout march and a wreath of a cave was presented about the souls of the martyr. After that, the Bishop, have mercy on him, gave a sermon in which he praised the sacrifices of the people of Deir al -Ahmar, stressing that “the compromise is still continuing in the face of everyone who tries to touch the sovereignty of the homeland and the dignity of his sons.
For the occasion, the head of the “Lebanese Forces” party, Samir Geagea, appeared to the participants in the mass, expressing his sincere desire to be present among the people of the region, stressing that the coming days “will inevitably bring us together.”
He gave a speech that he started with a greeting of love and appreciation to the people of Deir al -Ahmar and the neighboring towns, saying: “This region deserves the whole good, because it paid the most precious possessions, and remained standing with glory.”
As he invoked the memory of the martyr.
He added: “The anniversary is not only the celebration, but by continuing on their path, and achieving the goals for which they made blood and spirit.”
He stressed that “the struggle march, which started fifty years ago, did not know the day of retreat,” noting that “it went through harsh stations of arrest, threat and death, but it has survived the path of truth and freedom.” He considered that “the Sunni anniversary carries a special character, as it coincides with the beginning of the achievement of some goals of the long struggle.”
He stressed that “the real meeting with the martyr is only when we prove that their blood was not wasted,” addressing everyone who doubted in the past, saying: “Those who said that these young people died in vain, today they must admit that their blood made a difference, and achieved unavoidable achievements.”
Geagea saw that “existence and steadfastness in this region were never a coincidence, but rather a permanent faith, struggle and martyrdom, and that the people adhere to their holy land and the issue is what made this land steadfast, and the blood of the martyr.
He considered that “staying in this land is a challenge, a verb of faith and a love of love for Lebanon. With the presence of people with this commitment and this hardness, we derive hope for a better future,” calling for “not to neglect any inch of the soil of the country, and benefit from the lessons of the past.”
Geagea stressed that “achieving some goals does not mean stopping, but rather increases our determination to continue,” stressing that “it is our duty to draw the new features of Lebanon for our children, befitting the sacrifices of the martyr.
In the context of his words, Geagea dealt with the next challenges, especially in terms of parliamentary entitlement, noting that “parliamentary representation is a sacred right”, and he said: “In any way, it is not possible to replace the deputy of the Christian monastery of Al -Ahmar with a deputy from outside, because the identity is not a number but roots and entity.”
He addressed the attendees, saying: “You are always on the date. Because you are the people of determination, we trust that you will advance again, and you will achieve the best.”
He added: “Our responsibility today is a comprehensive patriotism, and the monastery of al -Ahmar will remain, as it has always been, the embrace of all Lebanese at adversity. That is why we must be of trust and honesty.”
At the end of his speech, Geagea gave a special greeting to the people of the martyr. (National Agency)
