The Minister of Public Health, Rakan Nasser Al -Din, received a delegation from the Council of Development and Reconstruction headed by the President of the Council, Eng. The following was agreed:
– With regard to the projects funded by a gift from the Kuwaiti Development Fund, Nasser Al -Din informs that the Council of Development and Reconstruction will launch during this week, the tender for the establishment of the government hospital to be established in Harbta – Baalbek in preparation for the obligation to establish the hospital, and the discussion discussed the final review of the studies prepared by the Council and related to the establishment of the Akkar Governmental Hospital, and it was agreed to take over Deir Al -Qamar Hospital by the Ministry of Public Health.
– With regard to the file of government hospitals processing with modern equipment funded by a loan from the Islamic Development Bank, technical details were circulated with the start of the recruitment of some equipment and more gradual awaiting in the next stage.

On the other hand, the Minister of Health chaired a meeting in the ministry, which included a number of heads of boards of directors and general managers in government hospitals, in the presence of the Acting Director General of the Ministry, Fadi Sinan, and the meeting centered on the need to prepare and prepare infrastructure in the time specified for installing modern equipment and equipment that are brought to hospitals, whether from the Islamic Bank loan or from another loan from the World Bank.
Nasser Al -Din stressed that “these equipment will be distributed to all government hospitals according to scientific and transparent standards that take into account the financial status of the hospital and its ability to use equipment and equipment and secure the service envisaged from them, as well as the number of residents in the hospital’s vicinity and who will benefit from the services, in order to achieve the public health interest.”
He touched on the financial ceilings, and pointed out that “the hospitals that have spent their budget will get increases according to scientific and systematic rules in order to be able to provide service to the largest possible number of citizens.”
He stressed “the necessity of not receiving financial differences from the patient, whether on the medical devices or supplies,” stressing that “it is necessary to adhere to the pricing specified by the ministry under penalty of taking measures against violators.”
Also, Nasser Al -Din stressed his intention to “complete the appointments of government hospital boards of directors, according to the mechanism followed in a transparent and scientific way.”
