The head of the “National Meeting of Workers in the Public Sector”, Imad Yaghi, confirmed in a statement that the meeting was “a clear map for reform, which begins to stop the indiscriminate employment that constitutes masked unemployment, abandoning unjustified sites and jobs, to reform the recruitment and retirement systems in a sustainable manner, and restructure institutions on the basis of productivity, not patching.” He also stressed the necessity of “providing the financial management of public institutions of an investment in nature and the recovery of the entire state rights without exception.”
He concluded: “We have been patient enough, and to deny the rights of workers in the public sector, has become a bullying and out of the logic of building the state, and denying the rights of the country and the foundations that keep the country a homeland for its people, so do not pay employees and all workers in the public sector and with them all people to go to the street, where the final word will be for those who have nothing to lose except their homeland, dignity and livelihood.”
