Media reports revealed the approaching selection of the most prominent candidate to head the new football company that the Egyptian club Zamalek announced its establishment, as part of a plan aimed at developing the management of the football sector according to a professional model.
The Zamalek Board of Directors, headed by Hussein Labib, had approved by majority the launch of the football company, with the aim of achieving financial sustainability and enhancing the club’s stability in the long term, by separating the management of the football sector financially and administratively from the club.
Zamalek explained that the new company will manage its obligations, activities and financial resources independently, without placing any financial burden on the club’s treasury, which contributes to applying modern economic management methods and preserving the club’s resources.
Who is the candidate to head the football company?
Journalist Ahmed Schubert said that businessman Ayman Mamdouh Abbas is the first candidate to assume the position of president of the football company at Zamalek Club.
Ayman Abbas is famous among Zamalek fans, as he is the son of Mamdouh Abbas, the current honorary president of the club, and he is also one of the participants in the “Shark Tank” program to support investment partnerships with entrepreneurs in Egypt.
Schubert also indicated that there is a new investor for the team alongside the football company, but he did not reveal his identity or the details of the anticipated partnership.
