The Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in Beirut announced that, as part of its follow-up on the conditions of Syrian students residing in Lebanon, and as a result of the contacts it made with the relevant Lebanese authorities, the General Directorate of Education informed it of the possibility of Syrian students taking the exams for the special session of the Lebanese General Secondary Certificate in its four branches for the 2026 session.
The embassy invited students wishing to obtain more information to contact the General Directorate of Education on 01/772050.
The embassy also extended its sincere thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Rima Karami, and to the General Directorate of Education, represented by its Director General, Dr. Fadi Yarak, for the speed of response and cooperation, in the interest of Syrian students.
