Competition in the field of artificial intelligence has entered a more intense phase with the announcement of a company SpaceXAI Launching its new model Grok 4.5which Elon Musk described as an “Opus” model, referring to its ability to handle complex tasks at advanced levels.

The launch of the new model comes at a time when competition is accelerating between major artificial intelligence companies, led by OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, in a race to develop smarter, faster, and more efficient models.

Grok 4.5 is focused on professional uses, designed to handle areas such as programming, data analysis, financial tasks, and business that require greater long-term thinking and planning capabilities.

Musk said that the new model provides performance close to advanced Opus models, with improvements in speed and resource efficiency, noting that its capabilities go beyond answering traditional questions to include performing a series of interconnected tasks and managing more complex operations.

Through the new model, SpaceXAI seeks to enhance its presence in the corporate and developer market, beyond the entertainment uses of smart conversations, by providing an auxiliary tool in the areas of software development, research, and legal and financial analysis.

The company is also betting on delivering strong performance at a lower operating cost than some competing models, with reports indicating that the cost of using Grok 4.5 is about $2 per million input codes and $6 per million output codes.

The launch of the model comes amid a fierce global race in the artificial intelligence sector, where competition is no longer limited to the models’ ability to provide accurate answers, but rather extends to their ability to carry out tasks independently, use tools, and support employees and developers in completing complex work.

Despite Musk’s assurances about the capabilities of the Grok 4.5, assessing its actual performance requires extensive independent testing to compare it to the latest models available on the market.

With the launch of this version, SpaceXAI seeks to strengthen its position in the artificial intelligence market, and compete to develop platforms capable of playing the role of an intelligent partner in advanced professional missions.
