Members of the Lebanese Civil Defense were able to control the fire that broke out in the Dekwaneh area – Matn District, after continuous field operations during which the teams made intensive efforts to contain the fire and prevent its spread.
Since the outbreak of the fire, civil defense teams have worked to cordon off its location and isolate the flammable materials, amid fears that it would spread to nearby vehicles and property.

The elements succeeded in controlling the fire, after isolation and cordoning operations prevented it from spreading to neighboring sites, while the teams continued to implement the necessary cooling operations to limit any renewal of the fire.
The control of the fire comes after a large field alert in Dekwaneh, where extinguishing operations have been ongoing since its outbreak, amid direct follow-up from those concerned, especially after two members of the Civil Defense were slightly injured while participating in the extinguishing operations and were transferred to the hospital to receive treatment.
