The “Lebanon Debate” correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes carried out two raids on the eastern chain, targeting the vicinity of the town of Nabi Sheet in the Bekaa, amid intense flights of military and drone aircraft in the airspace.

According to preliminary information, strong explosions were heard in the area after the two raids, while ambulance and civil defense teams rushed to the vicinity of the targets in anticipation of injuries or damage, without an official toll being issued yet.

This escalation comes at a time when the Lebanese-Israeli front is witnessing unprecedented tension, with the expansion of the Israeli raids from the south to the Bekaa and the eastern chain, coinciding with the continued launching of missiles and drones across the border.

The Eastern Chain area is one of the areas that has been subjected to repeated raids during the recent period, in light of Israeli accusations of the presence of sites and corridors linked to “Hezbollah” in the border region extending between Lebanon and Syria.

The targeting of the Prophet Sheet area also comes in light of the escalation of Israeli military pressure on several fronts inside Lebanon, amid growing fears of the expansion of the circle of confrontation and its transformation into an open war that includes various Lebanese regions.

The two raids were accompanied by a low flight of Israeli aircraft over a number of areas in the Bekaa Valley, which sparked a state of tension and anxiety among the people, especially with the repeated attacks in recent days.
