The Iranian Atomic Energy Authority announced that there is no radioactive threat to the population after 3 nuclear sites in the country were bombed.

The authority said: “We immediately conducted the necessary tests for the possibility of radioactive pollution in the vicinity of the targeted sites. There is no threat to the population.”

As for the assistant political director of the Iranian Radio and Television Authority, he revealed that Tehran had evacuated 3 nuclear sites a while ago, in a precautionary move in anticipation of any possible escalation, which was confirmed by a spokesman for the crisis management center in Qom Governorate, as he stated that the Fordo facility had been previously evacuated.

For its part, the Nuclear and Radiological Control Authority confirmed in Saudi ArabiaIt has not monitored any radioactive traces in the airspace of the Kingdom or the Gulf region in general as a result of the American strikes, which supports the Iranian novel about the limited damage.

The Center for the National Nuclear Safety System in Iran also issued another statement, in which he stressed that “there is no danger threatening residents residing in the vicinity of the nuclear sites in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan.”

The statement said: “In the wake of the attack launched by America on the nuclear sites in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan, which is contrary to international laws, including the Nuclear Non -Proliferation Treaty and other international safety and nuclear security systems, this center immediately conducted the necessary checks on the possibility of the spread of nuclear pollution in the vicinity of the aforementioned sites.”

He continued: “We benefit that, based on the measures taken in advance and previous planning, as well as the data registered from the systems of radioactive materials, no indications of pollution indicated.”

The statement added: “Accordingly, there is no danger that threatens the residents residing in the vicinity of the aforementioned sites.”
