Liverpool FC is seeking to find a potential replacement for French defender Ibrahima Konate, in anticipation of his possible departure next season.
This step comes in light of Konate’s contract expiring at the end of the current season, and increasing rumors linking him to moving to Real Madrid after his contract expires.
The British TEAM TALK network revealed that Liverpool is placing Brazilian defender Murillo, a Nottingham Forest player, at the top of its list of interests, and intends to make an official offer to include him in the new season.
The market value of the player Murillo is approximately 55 million euros, and he joined Nottingham Forest on August 31, 2023 for 12 million euros.
The Brazilian defender participated in 30 matches this season, scored two goals, and gave a remarkable performance.
It is noteworthy that Murillo was the focus of attention of Manchester United and Chelsea, but Liverpool is seeking to make an official offer to include him for 70 million pounds sterling, according to the British network.
In a related context, Liverpool lost the opportunity to sign Crystal Palace defender Mark Guehi at the beginning of the current season, after intense negotiations that did not succeed.
“Guyhi” moved to English Manchester City in the last winter transfer period.
