The management of the Saudi Al-Ahly Club renewed its desire to include a player from the Turkish Trabzonspor club during the upcoming transfer period.
The Turkish newspaper Fotospor reported that the Saudi Al-Ahly management still includes the Brazilian “Felipe Augusto,” the Trabzonspor striker, among its options to support the team in the upcoming summer transfer period.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi club tried to sign “Felipe Augusto” during the last winter transfer period, and made a financial offer amounting to approximately 15 million euros, but the deal was not completed.
The newspaper indicated that Al-Ahly management is planning to resume negotiations during the summer transfer period, confirming that there is a new offer that will be presented to contract the 22-year-old striker.
It is likely that the sale of the player will be approved if Al-Ahly Club presents a very attractive financial offer to include Felipe Augusto, whose current contract extends until June 30, 2029, with the possibility of extending it for an additional season.
The Brazilian player’s name was previously linked to Al Hilal Club, as some reports stated that the club made an offer worth 11 million euros, in addition to two million euros in incentives, but the Turkish club’s management rejected the offer.
The Brazilian striker joined the Turkish League at the beginning of the current season, coming from Belgian Cercle Brugge for 5.5 million euros.
Al-Ahly currently sits at the top of the Saudi Professional League standings with 62 points, one point behind Al-Nasr, which is in second place. (Erm News)
