Former Lebanese Prime Minister, Tammam Salam, described the current circumstances that Lebanon and the region are going through as “extremely difficult and fateful,” stressing the need to evaluate the performance of the executive authority in light of these exceptional circumstances and the increasing internal and external restrictions.
In an exclusive statement to the “Lebanon Debate” website, Salam considered that the government and its president are making a “tremendous and great effort” to deal with the multiple and complex issues facing the country, stressing that the task entrusted to them is not easy at all.
The former Prime Minister concluded his speech by praising the government’s efforts, saying: “May God grant them strength. The task is difficult, but it is necessary to do what is required of it.”
