The Estimates Department at the Meteorological Department in the General Directorate of Civil Aviation expected that volatile and sometimes rainy weather with temperatures below their seasonal averages will dominate Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean, due to the influence of a depression accompanied by relatively cold air masses, centered in southwestern Turkey and its effect will continue until tomorrow evening, Sunday, when the weather will gradually stabilize. Temperatures are expected to rise gradually starting next Tuesday.
Expected weather in Lebanon:
Saturday: Partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with fog in the highlands and stable temperatures. Scattered rain falls at times, with the possibility of lightning and thunder occurring before noon. The winds are also active, and widespread relief is expected from the afternoon.
Sunday: Partly cloudy with a slight drop in temperatures and fog in the highlands. Scattered rain may fall at times during the morning, and the weather will gradually improve starting in the afternoon.
Monday: Partly cloudy, with no noticeable change in temperatures on the coast, rising slightly in the mountains and inland. Sporadic drizzle is expected to fall in the north of the country during the morning, and the weather will turn slightly cloudy in the afternoon.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy to partly cloudy with high clouds, a slight rise in temperatures, and local fog in the highlands.
Surface winds: southwesterly, active at times, with speeds between 15 and 45 km/h.
Visibility: Moderate on the coast, worsens on highlands due to fog.
Relative humidity on the coast: between 60 and 80%.
Sea condition: wavy.
Water surface temperature: 27°C.
Atmospheric pressure: 1017 hectopascals, equivalent to 763 mm Hg.
