“Beirut First Club” suffered its first loss in the 38th edition of the Arab Clubs Basketball Championship, after falling to Qatar’s “Al-Arabi” with a score of 79-69, in the match that was held at the Sports Club Stadium in Ghazir. The tournament will be held under the supervision of the Arab Basketball Federation and organized by Al-Hikma Club Beirut.
With this result, the Lebanese team, which won the title in 2023, finished the group stage in second place in the second group with four consecutive victories, behind the Qatari team, which topped the group with a full score, achieving five consecutive victories, based on its title as champion of the 2024 edition.
In the quarter-finals, “Beirut First Club” will play an expected confrontation in the quarter-finals against the third-placed team in the first group, which will be determined later at the conclusion of the group competitions between the “Central Jounieh” and “Al-Ittihad Al-Ahly Aleppo” teams.
