An Israeli soldier was slightly injured today as a result of an “operational accident” that occurred during the ongoing military operations in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli army spokesman explained that the injured soldier was taken to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment, indicating that his family had been informed of the incident, and that the military institution had opened an investigation to determine its causes and circumstances.
For its part, the Hebrew newspaper “Maariv” revealed that the soldier belonged to the 188th Brigade, and that the injury resulted from an ammunition explosion inside a tank during a military operation in the Shaqif sector in southern Lebanon, confirming that the incident was classified as an operational accident.
This incident comes in light of the escalation of field tension on the southern front, coinciding with the continuing Israeli military movements and operations inside Lebanese territory, in addition to the bombing and attacks targeting various border and internal areas in the south.
