Israeli reports revealed that Hezbollah has entered a new phase of rebuilding and developing its military capabilities in Lebanon, focused on strengthening its arsenal of drones, in conjunction with taking strict security measures in anticipation of possible Israeli assassinations.
In this context, Shimon Megan, correspondent for the Israeli Broadcasting Authority “Kan”, reported, based on field reports in Lebanon, that the party took advantage of the ceasefire period to restore its military capabilities in southern Lebanon, especially by developing drones with double combat capabilities.
The data showed that the new generation of this drone was designed to carry explosive charges ranging between 4 and 6 kilograms, compared to only about 2.5 kilograms in the previous versions, while its operational range inside the Israeli depths is expected to extend to more than 30 kilometers, exceeding the current range, which stands at 20 kilometers.
On the security level, it was reported that the party imposed strict protection measures for fear that its leaders and members would be targeted by Israeli assassinations. These measures included the evacuation of large numbers of apartments and offices located in the southern suburbs of Beirut to reduce the risks of exposure to potential strikes.
These developments – which are closely followed by Israeli security circles – reflect that the file of marches and the reconstruction of the party’s military structure remains at the forefront of Israel’s strategic and security concerns at the current stage.
