A number of young men from the Al-Tabbaneh area in the city of Tripoli, called “A.Q” (affiliated with the Jabal Mohsen area), were arrested on suspicion of his involvement in a network for promoting narcotic substances, following a process of monitoring, following up and summoning a court.
The arrest operation resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of drugs in the possession of the suspect. The people tied him to a lamp post in the vicinity of Abu Ali Roundabout, in preparation for handing him over with the seized items to the Lebanese Army Intelligence Directorate.
In his initial statement to the people, the detainee claimed that he works for a person called “A.A.”, who is suspected of being involved in drug trafficking in the Jabal Mohsen area, while this data remains subject to the scrutiny of official investigations.
The competent security services began their investigations into the incident, in parallel with tracking down the rest of those involved in order to determine their identities and arrest them.
