The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced that Minister Youssef Raji participated, along with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, in an expanded meeting with the leadership of the Foreign Relations Committee in the US Senate, which included the Chairman of the Committee, Senator Jim Risch, and the ranking Democratic member, Senator Jeanne Shaheen, as well as the two members of the Committee, Senators Chris Coons and Tim Kaine.
During the meeting, according to what Minister Raji published through his account on the “X” platform, they discussed the tireless efforts made by the Lebanese government to restore the country’s sovereignty and extend state authority over its entire territory, in addition to reviewing the path of structural reforms and the economic recovery plan.
This meeting comes within a series of intensive meetings conducted by Lebanese officials in the United States of America, with the aim of discussing files related to Lebanon, and shedding light on the government’s efforts at the political and economic levels.
