A thirst crisis threatens Jbeil: water outage for three days on the Ibrahim River line

The Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Corporation announced the implementation of a package of maneuvers and basic works, within the model project to reduce water loss, which aims to connect the new network to the existing network.

The Corporation explained in a statement that these works require stopping the supply of water to the main traction line extending from the Ibrahim River all the way to the city of Byblos, starting from the morning of Tuesday, September 22, 2026, until the evening of Thursday, September 24, 2026, provided that things return to normal on the morning of Friday, September 25, 2026, immediately after the completion of the works and the restarting of the line.

The Corporation concluded by apologizing to the subscribers for this temporary interruption and the inconvenience it may cause, calling on citizens to rationalize water consumption and store the necessary supplies throughout the period of work to alleviate the severity of the crisis.
