Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri received at the headquarters of the Second Presidency in Ain al-Tineh the head of the Syndicate of Lebanese Press Editors, Joseph Al-Qasifi, where the general situation and research into the media law were presented.

During the meeting, Al-Qasifi presented Berri with the Editors’ Syndicate’s observations on the law, in addition to the amendments proposed by the Lebanese Press Union.

Berri also received the new Swedish Ambassador to Lebanon, Thomas Brondin, on a protocol visit on the occasion of his assuming his new duties. The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the general situation in Lebanon and the region and bilateral relations between Lebanon and Sweden.

In a third meeting, Berri followed up with the Vice President of the Supreme Shiite Islamic Council, Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, the general situation and the latest political and field developments in the south, in addition to national affairs.
