Milan is preparing to make changes to its administrative and sporting structure, led by owner Jerry Cardinale, in a move that may lead to reducing the great influence enjoyed by Swedish Zlatan Ibrahimovic within the club.
Cardinale’s moves came after a disappointing season, as the owner began to interfere more in the daily management of the club, through a series of meetings aimed at developing a new strategy based on distributing powers and strengthening institutional work.
The changes do not, at present, indicate the administration’s desire to completely remove Ibrahimovic, especially in light of the strong relationship between him and Cardinale, but rather appear closer to redefining his role within a more collective administrative system.
Cardinale wants to move to an institutional model based on distributing responsibilities and expertise, so that sporting and administrative decisions become part of an integrated system instead of concentrating influence in the hands of one person. (Russia Today)
