It was reported that the star reached an understanding with the club’s management to terminate his contract by mutual consent, without officially announcing his next step, amid speculation that he might move to another Saudi club or take a decision to retire, while he will retain his position as an ambassador for the Saudi League until 2030.
It is noteworthy that Benzema played 16 matches with Al-Zaeem in various competitions, during which he scored 10 goals and won the King’s Cup.
