Next week... expect a strike that may paralyze movement at Ben Gurion Airport

Israel is preparing for the possibility of a new strike at Ben Gurion Airport, amid fears of travel disruption in one of the country’s most important economic facilities.

The head of the Israeli Airports Authority Workers Committee, Pinhas Idan, whom Netanyahu accused of being behind the previous strike, refused to confirm the existence of movements to implement a new strike.

Israeli Channel 12 said that preparations are underway in anticipation of additional strikes and widespread disturbances during the peak passenger traffic at Ben Gurion Airport next week.

The channel quoted senior officials in the Airports Authority as saying that Idan is an “unexpected person,” and that it is difficult to know what he is planning, which leaves the possibility of new strikes in the coming days. (Erm News)
