The “Akkar Veterans Council” held its regular session at the home of Ghaleb Abboud in the town of Bebnin – Akkar.
The session included speeches that addressed “the rights of retirees and the government’s neglect of implementing its decisions, especially giving six basic salaries, family compensation, and school aid, which it decided to pay in installments for the year 2027, knowing that it is part of the 2026 budget, and here there is a legal violation.”

The Council held “Finance Minister Yassin Jaber responsible for evasion and presenting arguments.”
Likewise, the attendees agreed to “prepare the moves seriously and effectively with the Lebanese Armed Forces Veterans Association and the decision committees, and that September will be the month of great pressure on the government.”
