Representative Fouad Makhzoumi wrote, in a post on his account on the “X” platform, that he received the new Saudi ambassador to Lebanon, Fahd Al-Dosari, in the presence of political advisor Carole Zouein.
Makhzoumi indicated that during the meeting he sensed Al-Dosari’s keenness on Lebanon and the importance of strengthening historical relations between the two countries and opening broader horizons for cooperation, pointing out that the ambassador stressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s belief in the Lebanese state and its institutions and the necessity of supporting them and enhancing their role.
Makhzoumi said: “We are confident that his presence in Beirut will constitute a qualitative addition and a new opportunity to deepen these relations.”
He added, “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been and will remain a support for Lebanon and the Lebanese,” referring to the Kingdom’s progress under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
He concluded by welcoming Ambassador Al-Dosari to Lebanon, wishing him success in his mission.
