The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, left this Wednesday afternoon from Rafic Hariri International Airport heading to Rome, on an official visit that includes two prominent meetings at the Vatican and Italian levels.
President Aoun is scheduled to meet tomorrow, Thursday, with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, and the day after tomorrow, Friday, with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
The visit comes as part of President Aoun’s foreign stop that brings together the Vatican and Italy, where meeting with the Pope tops Thursday’s agenda, while Friday is devoted to meeting with the Italian Prime Minister.
