Students of free applications, get ready... “Education” sets exam dates

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced the dates of the written exams for the Intermediate Certificate and the General Secondary Certificate in its four branches for the 2026 session for free applications, with the exams starting on Wednesday, August 26, and continuing until Tuesday, September 1, according to the branch and certificate.

The Ministry issued an administrative memorandum specifying the full program for the exams and the dates for each subject, as follows:

For the Intermediate Certificate, exams begin on Wednesday, August 26, with geography from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., followed by mathematics from 9:50 to 11:50.

On Thursday, August 27, students will be tested in life and earth sciences from 8:30 to 9:30, and in foreign language from 9:50 to 11:50.

On Saturday, August 29, the physics competition will be held from 8:30 to 9:30, followed by the Arabic language from 9:50 to 11:50.

Intermediate certificate exams will conclude on Monday, August 31, with chemistry from 8:30 to 9:30, civic education and civic education from 9:50 to 10:50, and history from 11:10 to 12:10.

As for the General Secondary Certificate – General Sciences branch, its exams will begin on Wednesday, August 26, with geography from 8:30 to 9:30, and physics from 9:50 to 12:50.

On Thursday, August 27, the Philosophy and Civilizations Competition will be held from 8:30 to 10:30, and the Foreign Language and Literature Competition from 10:50 to 13:20.

On Saturday, August 29, students will take the mathematics exam from 8:30 to 12:30.

On Monday, August 31, the education competition will be held from 8:30 to 9:30, and the chemistry competition will be held from 9:50 to 11:50.

Exams will conclude on Tuesday, September 1, in Arabic language and literature from 8:30 to 11:00, and from 11:20 to 12:20.

For the life sciences branch, exams begin on Wednesday, August 26, with geography from 8:30 to 9:30, and life sciences from 9:50 to 12:50.

On Thursday, August 27, philosophy and civilizations will be held from 8:30 to 10:30, and foreign language and literature from 10:50 to 13:20.

On Saturday, August 29, students will take the history exam from 8:30 to 9:30, and the physics exam from 9:50 to 11:50.

On Monday, August 31, the education competition will be held from 8:30 to 9:30, and the chemistry competition will be held from 9:50 to 11:50.

The branch exams will conclude on Tuesday, September 1, in Arabic language and literature from 8:30 to 11:00, and mathematics from 11:20 to 13:20.

In the branch of sociology and economics, Exams begin on Wednesday, August 26, with geography from 8:30 to 9:30, mathematics from 9:50 to 11:50, and physics from 12:10 to 13:10.

On Thursday, August 27, students take the life sciences exam from 8:30 to 9:30, chemistry from 9:50 to 10:50, and foreign language and literature from 11:10 to 13:40.

On Saturday, August 29, the history competition will be held from 8:30 to 9:30, and the economics competition will be held from 9:50 to 12:50.

As for Monday, August 31, education will be held from 8:30 to 9:30, and the meeting will be from 9:50 to 12:50.

Exams conclude on Tuesday, September 1, with philosophy and civilizations from 8:30 to 10:30, and Arabic language and literature from 10:50 to 13:20.

As for the Arts and Humanities branch, exams begin on Wednesday, August 26, with general philosophy from 8:30 to 11:30, and physics from 12:10 to 13:10.

On Thursday, August 27, the life sciences competition will be held from 8:30 to 9:30, chemistry from 9:50 to 10:50, and geography from 11:10 to 13:10.

On Saturday, August 29, students will take the history exam from 8:30 to 9:30, and the Arabic language and literature exam from 9:50 to 12:50.

On Monday, August 31, education will be held from 8:30 to 9:30, and foreign language and literature will be held from 9:50 to 12:50.

The Arts and Humanities branch exams will conclude on Tuesday, September 1, with Arabic philosophy from 8:30 to 11:30, and mathematics from 11:50 to 12:50.

This course is intended for free applications in the intermediate and general secondary certificates in its four branches, after the Ministry of Education determined through the memorandum the timetable for each subject, allowing candidates to organize their preparations according to the official dates.

According to the program, the intermediate certificate exams extend from August 26 to 31, while the exams for the high school branches continue until September 1, with the distribution, number, and duration of subjects varying according to each branch.
