The official website of the Club Atletico Madrid published a statement saying: “Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement for the transfer of Cristian Gabriel “Cuté” Romero, who has signed a contract with our club until June 30, 2031.”
He continued: “Our new player passed the medical examination at the “Vithas – Invictum” Center at the Arturo Soria University Hospital in Madrid, before heading to the club’s offices at Riyadh International Airport, where he signed his contract. Welcome, Coty Romero.”
Romero, 28, bid farewell to Tottenham yesterday, saying that he leaves “with a heart full of memories and enormous pride in everything we have lived and achieved together.”
The financial details of the deal were not revealed, but British media reported that its value was about $46.27 million. (Russia Today)
