The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, presented with the Army Commander, General Rodolphe Heikal, the security situation in the country in general and in the south in particular, in light of the continued Israeli attacks on a number of southern villages and towns.
The research dealt with the ongoing preparations to implement what was stated in the framework formula within the designated experimental areas, where the Lebanese army is supposed to deploy in conjunction with the Israeli withdrawal from them.
The meeting also touched on the missions carried out by the army throughout Lebanese territory, in addition to the conditions of the military institution and the needs of its members.
