
Karim Al-Andari began his speech by welcoming the attendees and said, “The countdown has begun for the festival, which will be held between July 14 and 19 of this month,” adding that “preparations have begun for the opening ceremony, which will be held next Tuesday evening.”
He pointed out that the “Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International” station will broadcast the festival’s events daily live.
Al-Andari thanked the sponsoring companies that stood by the festival, namely “Nok Nok”, “Cable Vision”, “OMT”, “XX Energy” and “Coral”, and stated that the two semi-final matches and the final match of the World Cup will be broadcast live on a screen that is the largest in Lebanon.
Al-Andari revealed that this year’s guest will be the French star who won the World Cup in 1998, Christian Karembeu. He will visit Lebanon for two days and will be a guest at the festival.
He pointed out that Brazilian star Roberto Carlos was the festival’s guest last year.
