Prime Minister Nawaf Salam wrote through his account on the “X” platform: “The government today approved” goals “at the forefront of the American paper to confirm the ceasefire that we received from Ambassador Tom Barak, namely:
1 – The implementation of Lebanon for the National Accord document known as the “Taif Agreement”, the Lebanese constitution and the decisions of the Security Council, foremost of which is Resolution 1701 and taking the necessary steps to establish its entire sovereignty over all its lands, with the aim of strengthening the role of legal institutions, and perpetuating the exclusive authority of the state in taking war and peace decisions, and ensuring that weapons are in the hands of the state alone throughout Lebanon.
2 – Ensuring the sustainability of hostilities, including all land, air and sea violations, through systematic steps that lead to a permanent, comprehensive and guaranteed solution.
3 – The gradual ending of the armed presence of all non -governmental parties, including Hezbollah, in all Lebanese territories, south and north of Litani, while providing support to the Lebanese army and internal security forces.
4 – The Lebanese army was deployed in the border areas and the main internal sites, with the appropriate support for it and the security forces.
5 – Israel’s withdrawal from the “five points”, and the settlement of border issues and prisoners by diplomatic means, through indirect negotiations.
6 – The return of civilians in the border villages and towns to their homes and properties.
7 – Ensuring Israel’s withdrawal from Lebanese territory and stopping all hostilities, including land, air and sea violations.
8 – A permanent and visual demarcation of the international borders between Lebanon and Israel.
9 – A permanent demarcation and determination of the borders between Lebanon and Syria.
10 – An economic conference in which the United States, France, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other friends of Lebanon participate to support the Lebanese economy and reconstruction so that Lebanon will return a prosperous and viable country, according to what US President Donald Trump called for.
11 – Additional international support for the Lebanese security services, especially the Lebanese army, by providing them with the appropriate military means to implement the provisions of the proposal and ensure the protection of Lebanon.
