A new Ghanaian talent is at the gates of Real Madrid

The Spanish club Real Madrid is close to finalizing the contract with young Ghanaian defender Oscar Nasi Oppong, 21 years old, to join the Castilla team led by coach Julián Lopez de Lerma, according to what was reported by the Spanish newspaper AS.

Real Madrid had expressed interest in the player since last season, before intensifying its moves during the current period to resolve negotiations with Granada FC, with whom Nasi has a contract until 2028. The deal is expected to be finalized on Tuesday, beating competitors including Rayo Vallecano.

Nasi is distinguished by his physical strength, as he is 1.85 meters tall, and he can play in the position of centre-back and right-back. Its market value is estimated at about 1.5 million euros, according to the Transfer Market website.

The Ghanaian defender joined the Granada Academy in 2023 from Emmanuel City Club in Ghana, before quickly attracting attention and getting the opportunity to be promoted to the reserve team, then making his first appearance with the first team last season.
