After the Minister of Education’s announcement...here is the mechanism for conducting official exams

The Minister of Education announced a series of new decisions related to the official exams for the Bac2, Vocational Education, and Brevet certificates, which included amending the course system, exam dates, and the approved evaluation mechanism.

According to the decisions, a three-course system is adopted for Bac2 students, with the student being allowed to apply for only two consecutive courses. Course dates are set between June 29 and September 14, provided that the level of questions is uniform in the three courses.

It was also decided not to adopt elective subjects, while the official lesson file will be issued on Monday, May 18, and the Ministry adopted a reduced curriculum, which included a significant reduction in several subjects.

As for vocational education students, the two-session system was maintained as usual, and the practical exams were scheduled between July 6 and 12, and the written exams for the first session were between July 20 and 30, while the second session was conducted on September 15. It was also announced that elective subjects would be cancelled, pending the official issuance of the reduced programmes.

Regarding the Brevet certificate, the Ministry confirmed that a unified official exam will not be conducted, and that the school exam will be approved according to a mechanism determined by the Ministry of Education, and success is calculated at 60% of the annual evaluation and 40% of the final exam.

The Ministry also indicated that schools will send the questions and the exam program to the Ministry of Education, with exams starting June 15, with flexibility in setting dates according to circumstances.
