The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, sent a long message to the party’s mujahideen and members of the “Islamic Resistance,” in which he praised the performance of the fighters in the field, considering that the drones and missiles used by the resistance “confuse Israel and sow anxiety and psychological crises within it,” while he saw that “faith and rush to the field” constitute the most important element in the confrontation.
Qasim said that the party’s mujahideen “do not die,” considering that remaining in the field or “martyrdom” constitutes an extension of the path of resistance, adding that their steadfastness “astonished the world” and prompted many to question the source of the strength and capabilities they possess.
He stressed that the south constitutes “the pillar of a sovereign, independent Lebanon,” praising the people of the south, the Bekaa, the suburbs, Beirut, Mount Lebanon, and the north, considering that they constitute a supportive environment for resistance and steadfastness.
He added that the party’s members are “the sons of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Al-Hashemi, the martyrs, the wounded, and the prisoners,” considering that they represent “liberation, sovereignty, and independence,” praising the sacrifices of the people and the displaced and the losses they suffered during the war.
On the political side, Qassem said that Hezbollah is facing “Israeli-American aggression” aimed at subjugating Lebanon and making it part of “Greater Israel,” stressing the party’s refusal to “submit or surrender,” and declaring the continuation of the confrontation “no matter how long it takes and no matter how great the sacrifices.”
He added: “We will not leave the field and we will turn it into hell for Israel,” stressing that the party “will not return to what was before March 2,” and that it will continue to respond to “aggression and violations.”
Qassem believed that the Iranian-American agreement, if it included stopping the aggression against Lebanon, “may be the strongest card” to end the war, thanking Iran and every party that contributes to stopping the escalation.
Regarding the internal political file, he stressed that the responsibility for negotiating to achieve “Lebanon’s sovereign goals” lies with the Lebanese authority, specifying five basic headings, including stopping the Israeli aggression at sea, land and air, Israel’s withdrawal from Lebanese territory, the deployment of the Lebanese army south of the Litani, the liberation of prisoners, the return of the people to their villages, and reconstruction.
He also called for adopting the option of “indirect negotiations,” considering that direct negotiations constitute “pure profits for Israel and free concessions from the Lebanese authority.”
Qassem stressed that the file of arms and resistance is an “internal Lebanese issue” and that no external party has anything to do with it, calling for this file to be addressed within a “national security strategy” after the fulfillment of Lebanese demands, citing the oath of office of the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, about discussing an integrated defense policy that would enable the Lebanese state to remove Israel and repel its aggression.
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah concluded his message by affirming that the resistance will continue the confrontation “until the enemy despairs of imposing its power,” directing his greetings to the party’s members and offering his condolences to its members who were martyred during the confrontations.
